Legality & compliance

Is IPTV legal in Canada?

IPTV technology itself is legal in Canada. You are responsible for how you use it and for complying with the copyright laws of your jurisdiction. WatchMaxTV is a technology platform; we do not produce, own or broadcast content, and we honour the Canadian Notice-and-Notice regime described in our DMCA / Copyright Policy.

Do you follow Canadian privacy law?

Yes. We comply with PIPEDA federally and with Quebec Law 25 for residents of Quebec, including the mandatory opt-in cookie consent and the designated Privacy Officer. See our Privacy Policy.

Will the service work outside Canada?

It works in most countries that are not on Canadian sanctions lists. Short trips abroad are fine. Permanent relocation may require a different plan — ask us on WhatsApp.

The service itself

How many channels are there?

Over 21,000 live channels, across sports, news, entertainment, kids, movies, documentaries, music and international categories.

What about on-demand movies and series?

Over 97,000 on-demand titles, refreshed regularly. Exact availability depends on upstream sources and can change without notice.

What quality can I expect?

HD, 4K and HEVC where both your device and your connection support it. On weaker connections the stream drops to 720p or 480p automatically rather than buffering.

How many screens can I watch on at once?

Two simultaneous connections are included in every plan. Multi-screen family plans are on the roadmap.

What devices are supported?

Fire Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, PC / Mac and MAG boxes. See our devices page.

Trial & billing

What is included in the free trial?

24 hours of full access to the live channels and VOD library. No credit card. One per household.

How do I pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Interac and Bitcoin. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Do prices include tax?

Prices exclude GST / HST where applicable. Tax is added at checkout.

How do renewals work?

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Quebec customers receive a mandatory renewal notice in advance.

How do I cancel?

One WhatsApp message. No menus, no fees. If you are within the 30-day window and the service did not work, we refund.

Connectivity & performance

What internet speed do I need?

15 Mbps is enough for HD, 25+ Mbps is comfortable for 4K. If multiple devices in your home stream at once, add headroom.

Do I need a VPN?

No. Our service is designed to work directly on Canadian ISPs without a VPN. Some users run a VPN for general privacy reasons — that is fine but not required.

Why is the stream buffering?

90 % of the time it is the connection, not our server. Run a speed test at whatever is plugged into your TV. If your speed is fine, WhatsApp us with the channel name and we will investigate.

What is your uptime target?

99.9 % measured monthly. Planned maintenance is announced and scheduled for low-traffic windows.

Support

How fast do you answer?

Under 15 minutes on average during Canadian business hours. Overnight requests are answered first thing in the morning.

Do you offer French support?

Yes. Every support channel is bilingual EN / FR. Our team includes native French speakers.

What about resellers?

Authorised resellers get volume pricing, a white-label panel and dedicated support. Message us to discuss — personal subscriptions cannot be resold.
